Nurse Practitioner (Part Time To Full Time)

Compensation: $48–$62/hour (based on experience).
Schedule: Part time to start; transition to full time in July/August.
Patient Load: Up to 15-20 patients/day (Provider must be comfortable with seeing up to 20 patients in an 8hr workday).
Setting: In‑person primary care at private healthcare facility.

You’ll start part time (two half‑days + one full day weekly) with a planned transition to full‑time by July/August, based on your readiness and practice needs. Our practice is expanding, and we’re excited to bring on someone who wants to grow with us.
We currently have two providers and three dedicated support staff, all committed to delivering personalized, relationship‑driven care.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
- Provide comprehensive primary care for acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct physical exams, wellness visits, preventive screenings, and immunizations.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage conditions across the lifespan.
- Order and interpret labs, radiology, and sonography.
- Perform minor procedures (suturing, wound care).
- Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.
Patient Education & Advocacy:
- Educate patients on disease management and lifestyle modification.
- Provide health coaching to support long‑term wellness.
- Coordinate referrals and connect patients with community resources.
- Support informed decision‑making and patient autonomy.
Quality, Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement and behavioral‑health‑integration initiatives.
Teamwork & Professional Development:
- Collaborate with providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff.
- Mentor clinical team members.
- Stay current with evidence‑based primary care practices.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in diagnostic and preventative medicine.
- Strong health‑coaching and patient‑communication skills.
- Proficiency in ECG/EKG interpretation.
- Competence in venipuncture and specimen handling.
- Familiarity with primary‑care workflows.
- Excellent medical terminology and documentation skills.
Requirements:
- Unrestricted Maryland NP license.
- Graduation from an accredited NP program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- Favorable malpractice history.
- DEA and CDS license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- EHR experience.
- 2 years clinical experience preferred (private practice preferred).
